With the rapid development of new media technology,university distance education has become an important development direction in the field of education. Taking three universities in Zhengzhou as the research objects,this study explored the influence of new media on university distance education through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. It was found that the wide application of new media technology has provided more learning resources and learning opportunities for college students,as well as improved teaching quality and teaching effectiveness. However,some students may face some difficulties and challenges due to their different learning habits and learning styles,as well as the limitations of new media technologies. Therefore,university distance education needs to focus more on personalized teaching methods and learning support to accommodate the learning needs and learning abilities of different students.
