学校性健康教育政策的作用:综述

摘要


青少年怀孕和性传播感染是美国公共卫生的主要问题。虽然避免性交是避免这些情况的最好方法,但学校
的禁欲教育(AOE)项目在推迟开始性行为或降低青少年怀孕率方面收效甚微。相反,综合性教育(CSE)项目显
示了降低青少年怀孕和延迟开始性行为的能力。然而,联邦基金继续主要支持AOE项目,大多数州也支持学校AOE
项目,而不是 CSE。这次审查的目的是审查性健康教育政策的作用,因为性健康教育可以对青少年的健康和福祉产
生影响。该综述为学校健康护理机构提供了信息,以帮助他们教育家长和管理人员了解AOE的负面影响,以便他们
可以倡导政策改变。
