背景：病毒性腹泻仍然是全球儿童发病率和死亡率的主要原因，其中5岁以下儿童的发病率很高，尤其是
在发展中国家。本研究的目的是确定尼泊尔加德满都大学医院/杜利克尔医院（DH）和奥地利因斯布鲁克医科大学
（MUI）的5岁以下儿童病毒性腹泻的频率，并比较临床表现和两个机构中儿童急性腹泻的共同原因。方法：这是一
