Under the background of current education，the construction and implementation of curriculum ideological and political thought has infiltrated into each course of higher education in our country，has become the main melody of current higher education，how to implement the construction of curriculum ideological and political thought is a major topic of each teacher's thinking and inquiry. The courses related to the history of American literature are closely related to the development of Western culture，so it can be seen that the teaching of American literature should be effectively permeated with ideological and political courses.
