A Study on the English translation of titles of Mongolian Medicine Classics

摘要

The purpose of this paper is to try to translate the titles of classic works of Mongolian medicine from English，so as to lead the translation of ethnic medicine and make Mongolian medicine better serve the people. Content：The author analyzes the characteristics of titles of classic books on Mongolian medicine，and tries to put forward the translation principles and techniques of titles of classic books on Mongolian medicine for scholars to discuss together. Methods：The author preliminarily summarizes three translation methods，namely literal translation，literal translation and meaning interpretation，and slight translation and free translation. Conclusion：Translators need to have a solid foundation of language translation and in-depth cultural understanding ability in order to produce a translation that conforms to English cultural habits and is rich in Chinese cultural and national characteristics.
