This paper is mainly problem-oriented, with field investigation and visit as the main means, to the rural areas of Zhanjiang City to deeply explore the actual situation of the development of "farm economy", based on the actual survey results, to analyze the problems facing the development of "farm economy" in rural areas of Zhanjiang City, with these problems as the thinking points. Considering the role of various forms of expression of ethnic traditional sports culture in solving the problem of "farm economy", with a multidimensional vision, the traditional ethnic sports culture in the local representative cultural characteristics of the activities, combined with the local "farm economy" development status, so as to combine the development of the two, explore the effective mode of development of both, so as to maximize the interests. To seek a new mode of combining "farm economy" with traditional national sports culture, so as to maximize the functions and benefits of both, to achieve "1+1 > 2", and to provide new ideas for the new economic growth point of Zhanjiang rural areas.
