With the continuous progress of the new era，college students should be energetic and positive students. However，due to the rapid development of the network and unbalanced social development，many college students indulge in the virtual world of the network and waste valuable time，which requires comprehensive ideological and political education for contemporary college students. Aiming at the problem that the traditional education system before can no longer meet the development needs of the current era，In the new era environment，we should integrate the ideological and political education and mental health education in colleges and universities to solve some problems，and take new measures to face the new era of college students. This paper analyzes the ideological and political education and mental health education in colleges and universities to lay a good foundation for the healthy growth of college students.
