An Exploration of the Translator's subjectivity in the translation of English language and literature

摘要

The main function of translation of English language and literary works is to realize the communication of language，culture and literature without estrangement and without borders. It can not only make the people of different countries feel the charm of literature and art，but also make the people of different countries feel the literary and artistic thoughts contained in literary works，so as to better understand the social features and spiritual connotations displayed in literary works. Based on this，this paper will take The Old Man and the Sea as an example to analyze the actual connotation of the translation of English language and literature works under the cross-cultural background，explore the translator's subjective performance in the translation of English language and literature works，so as to provide more reference ideas for the research and practice in related fields from the perspective of literature，art and Chinese culture.
