The education of college students' ideals and beliefs is related to the future development of China. In the new media era，foreign cultures constantly invade the psychology of college students through the Internet，misleading the values of college students，and weakening the mainstream consciousness of contemporary college students. Nowadays，the problems of hedonism，advanced consumption，and personal consciousness of college students are becoming increasingly prominent. Therefore，it is of great significance to strengthen the education of college students' ideals and beliefs in the ideological and political education of colleges and universities. This paper starts from the significance of college students' ideal and belief education in the new era，expounds the current situation and problems of college students' ideal and belief education，lists the challenges faced by strengthening college students' ideal and belief education in the new era，and puts forward several feasible ways to achieve it，aiming at shaping college students' correct three perspectives.
