Colleges and universities are the main places for young college students to learn knowledge，skills and life，as well as the main front for cultivating high-quality talents. With the advent of the new media era，national security is facing unprecedented challenges and threats. Due to the particularity of college students，it has gradually become the weak point and high incidence area of national security incidents. Therefore，colleges and universities are required to use various new media means to improve and build the national security education system and promote the effectiveness of national security education in combination with the changes in the new situation and the characteristics and needs of young college students.
