美国女性的嘎裂音分析——以卡马拉-哈里斯为例

摘要

有研究发现美国女性有习惯性使用嘎裂音的现象，这些女性认为使用嘎裂音是一种身份象征，即受教育程度高、社会地位高、处于上升阶级等。本文分析了美国副总统卡马拉-哈里斯在不同场景的发言，采用声学参数H1-H2来判断其嗓音特点。两个录音场景分别是美国副总统竞选和艾伦秀，前者氛围比后者更为严肃。结果显示，两个场景的H1-H2没有显著差异，卡马拉-哈里斯在两个场景都使用了嘎裂音，大部分出现在句子末尾。由此可推测，卡马拉-哈里斯为了维持值得信赖的社会形象，不论场景是严肃或者轻松，都习惯性地使用嘎裂音。
