摘要

信息技术既可以是现代公共卫生系统不可或缺的重要工具，也可以是相当关键的连接管道之一。本文探讨
了信息技术在公共卫生中的作用以及在其中国家转折点倡议的合作组织之一所进行过的活动。数据来自一项当地卫
生部门信息技术需求和信息技术使用的全国性调查。这些数据，加上来自州级公共卫生信息技术的调查数据，将以
更完整的格式被呈现在Information Technology Collaborative的在线公共卫生信息系统目录中，这些目录将作为对公共
卫生信息学感兴趣者的免费资源。此外，本文问还提出了一些有关未来举措、政策变化以及信息技术标准的建议。
